Microsoft $MSFT refreshed its compact Surface lineup —Surface Pro 12" ($1,149.99) and Surface Laptop 13" ($1,199), both running a 6-core Snapdragon X2 Plus with an 80 TOPS NPU. Upgrades include brighter 500-nit screens, up to 22.5 hours of battery on the Laptop, and a new haptic Surface Mouse with a Copilot button. Both ship October 13.

Two details stand out: Microsoft quietly dropped the 8GB RAM tier that used to let these start under $1,000 (now 16GB minimum), and the new models skip the "Copilot+ PC" label entirely even as Copilot itself keeps expanding. $MSFT
