Google $GOOG Launches Playground, Letting Users Prompt AI to Build Browser Games — Unity Games Coming Next
Google launched Playground, a platform where users can generate games with AI through simple text prompts and share them with others to play directly in a browser. Users just type what they want, with minor options for 2D/3D graphics and player count; once a game is built, it can be shared via link, with multiplayer features like matchmaking and leaderboards running through Google Play Games accounts.
Notably, Playground won't stay limited to browser games — Google is also partnering with Unity on a similar AI game-creation tool called Unity Spark, which will output games built on the actual Unity engine.
Playground is live now under the experimental Google Labs brand, currently limited to US users only.
